I started writing this post a few months ago and completely forgot about it so some of these items may no longer be available and some prices may have changed.
A few days ago I went for a little browse around Next to celebrate the end of my exams and sometimes I go in there and nothing catches my eye and it can be a little disappointing. However this season I am loving so many shops and Next had some really good things and I tried on quite a lot. I bought two tops which considering I don't usually find much I like in there, I was quite chuffed.
As soon as I walked into the shop the white flowing top caught my eye. I'm becoming a little bit of a hippy and I'm not going to lie, I got quite excited when I saw it. It is quite see through so you do need to be careful what you wear with it. It is a little bit of a 'if you move the top doesn't sit right' sort of top but I'm willing to take that sacrifice for it! Adjustable straps as well as off-shoulder 3/4 length sleeves, £16 from Next.
The other green top I saw while browsing and didn't think much over when wondering around but as soon as I put it on I felt like it was perfect for my figure and it's a lovely summer top that can be worn with just about anything and I have worn it for every occasion from a nice meal out to a lazy day at home, (and my boyfriend says I look good in dark green?). Adjustable straps and buttons down the front, £16 from Next.
I bought the Garnier Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion when it first came out a few years ago and really loved it but for some reason never re-purchased it and I couldn't remember why so when I was on the hut for some body lotion and I picked up the one for normal skin with aloe vera. Although it does make my skin very soft and cools it down in the summer, it is only this soft for a few hours and to get the 7 days on moisture it advertisers you have to use it every day for about 4 weeks (which to be fair it does say on the back of the bottle), but who really has the patience for that? Garnier Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion for normal skin with aloe vera, £3.65 from Boots.
My collection of Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm lipsticks is soon to be one of my biggest collections of everything I own. I currently have colours 205 Elusive, 225 Sultry, 230 Complex and most recently, 245 Audacious. I wanted to try a more orange lip and I figured my favourite lipstick was a good place to start. I have to admit, the colour is a little too bright as I have quite flaky lips so to get a perfect coat I have to put a lot on so I may need to find a different lipstick for this particular shade that has a little less pigment in it.
Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm shade 245 Audacious, £7.99 from Boots.
For most people, when you say Soap & Glory they think of bubble bath and body lotion and nice smelly sort if stuff, but for me it's mascara. This is the second time I have bought the Thick & Fast HD Collagen Coat mascara and it's one of my favourites. It really gives volume and makes my eyes stand out even from behind my goddamn glasses so it's a winner for me. It is rather expensive for a high street mascara but I think it's worth it as long as you use it sparingly. Soap & Glory Thick & Fast HD Collagen Coat Mascara, £10.50 from Boots.
September is the start of my final year in school (if you include sixth form as school and university as not school) and that's why I bought the final two items.
The notebook with pictures of luggage tags and passports on is because I am taking up another AS in year 13 (to make up for the fact that I dropped French this year before I finished the course) and I am taking Travel & Tourism and I figured a lot of it is coursework and I didn't see the need for a whole folder for it, so I thought this little notebook was perfect to slip into my bag on days I might need it to make quick notes (and to doddle in as I have already done on the first page). Notebook, £6 from Paperchase.
The final item was just a pack of three simple exercise books which I thought were ideal for definitions for my other three A2 subjects, as this year I found a small glossary really helped when it came to revision, so instead of having one I paid loads for and has words in it I don't need and is missing some I do, I thought it would be better to create my own throughout the year. Pack of 3 Exercise Books, £5 from Paperchase.
